The B-14 HMR offered similar qualities that I had become accustomed to with Bergara’s other rifles so I couldn’t help but be even more excited when it came time to put it through its paces. 

Upon receiving the rifle, I keenly began examining it from all angles, hoping to glean some sort of information about this much talked-about gun. I quickly found that the rifle had a hardwood stock made with Walnut and coated in a fine weatherproofed finish. This gives the rifle a strong yet light casing, something that most Bergara rifles boast. The gun is also highly ergonomically designed, which gives the user a strong sense of comfort while using the B-14 without compromising accuracy.

Once I’d had a good look at the exterior, I was eager to see what made the B-14 HMR truly special. So, I began taking apart the rifle and what I found impressed me. Inside the stock, I discovered a Bergara PREMIER action which is touted as being one of the smoothest actions around. It was also equipped with a 3-position safety switch, bolt release lever, and oversized tang safety thumb piece for reliable performance that won’t let you down. 

But the B-14 HMR’s action wasn’t the only thing that impressed me. During my research, I found that this rifle also boasted an AR-style bolt head which was made out of stainless steel and coated in black oxide for added durability. This was great news for me since it meant the B-14 HMR was designed to withstand the elements and ensure a consistent level of performance. 

When it came to the actual shooting part, I was equally pleased. The B-14 HMR proved to be a reliable and accurate rifle that was easy to maneuver and handle even in tight quarters. It had a crisp, clean break with never any need for adjustment and the trigger itself was consistent, allowing for accurate shots. Its 22” barrel length makes it ideal for long-range shooting and its one-piece Picatinny scope rail allows for the quick attachment of all types of scopes for greater range precision. The ease and accuracy of use when shooting with the B-14 HMR combine with its ergonomic design to make for an enjoyable shooting experience. 

Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with the BERGARA B-14 HMR rifle. It offers precision, power, and reliability - something that you’d expect from a top-of-the-line rifle. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rifle that packs a punch but also provides accuracy and ease of use. With the B-14 HMR, you get all of that as well as a rifle that was designed for the ultimate shooting experience.
