SIG CROSS 6.5CR is SIG Sauer’s latest addition to their bolt-action rifle series. It is the first “Cross Rifle” available from SIG Sauer with the modern CR-Series design and the first in the series to be chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

SIG CROSS 6.5CR is an exceptionally well-made, accurate, and reliable rifle. It features a stainless steel barrel, adjustable gas block and a factory-threaded muzzle for adding suppression. The stock design is sleek and modern with an adjustable cheek piece and buttstock, as well as an adjustable length of pull. Overall, the rifle feels extremely solid and is very well balanced.

As far as accuracy goes, the SIG CROSS 6.5CR is capable of excellent performance. I was able to get consistent and impressive accuracy out of the rifle range out to 300 yards with match grade ammunition. With factory ammunition, the rifle was still quite accurate. I was able to consistently hit 1 MOA-sized groups with certain factory loads at shorter ranges.

The rifle features an effective two-stage trigger that breaks at a crisp 2lbs 10oz with minimal take up and overtravel. This allows for very precise and consistent shots. The muzzle device is threaded 5/8x24 which allows for adding of a suppressor. The gas system is adjustable, allowing shooters to tune the amount of gas used for each shot.

In terms of ergonomics, the SIG CROSS 6.5CR is a well thought out rifle. The stock is adjustable for length of pull and has a cheek-piece that can be raised or lowered. The rifle is ambidextrous, with symmetrical controls on both sides for easy manipulation. The overall feel of the rifle is quite comfortable with its soft recoil pad and adjustable buttstock.

In conclusion, the SIG CROSS 6.5CR is an excellent rifle. It is well made, accurate, and reliable. It is well balanced and comfortable to shoot. The stock is adjustable and the two-stage trigger breaks crisply. The gas system is adjustable and the muzzle device is threaded for adding a suppressor. Furthermore, the rifle is chambered in a popular and effective round, the 6.5 Creedmoor. The SIG CROSS 6.5CR is an excellent choice for a modern hunting or competition rifle and I highly recommend it.
