The fixed-length Picatinny optics rail allowed me to quickly mount a 4-12x50 scope, which provided a clear view of targets even at 100 yards. I was also able to mount an adjustable bipod for steadier shots. The Trakr is also compatible with other aftermarket parts such as buttstocks, handguards, and grips, making it a versatile platform that can be customized to fit a shooter’s needs.
The Howa Citadel Trakr performed admirably in my tests. It was an excellent rifle, accurately and quickly shooting rounds into small groups. The low recoil made aiming easier and the adjustable gas block further reduced felt recoil. The comfortable buttstock and cheek rest, in combination with the adjustable bipod, provided a stable platform for accurate firing. The all-metal construction with the black Cerakote-like finish helped keep the rifle looking like new even after several range trips. Finally, the detachable box magazine allowed for reloading and unloading with ease and the Picatinny optics rail and adjustable bipod allowed for an easy scope and bipod mounting.
Overall, the Howa Citadel Trakr is an excellent precision rifle. It is accurate, low-kick, and easy to use. The all-metal construction and Cerakote-like finish give it a ruggedness that stands up to long-term use.
