The Grand Power CP380 is one of the most reliable and ergonomically designed handguns on the market today. In my opinion, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, full-sized pistol with a great trigger.
The Grand Power CP380 is a striker-fired polymer-framed semi-automatic handgun, designed in Slovakia and manufactured in the United States. It comes in three different barrel lengths—3.5”, 4,” and 5”—and all models have a 10-round magazine capacity.
The gun utilizes a unique “reverse trigger” design, with the trigger protruding from the forward face of the frame instead of the rear. This design gives the shooter a faster and more consistent trigger pull without having to shift his or her grip. The trigger pull is light and crisp, and I found that it reset quickly and securely, giving me excellent performance when making rapid-fire shots.
The frame of the pistol is made of a high-impact polymer, and is exceptionally durable. The finish on the gun is also quite attractive and looks to be very resistant to wear and tear. The grip panels have texturing on them to help you keep a firm grip on the gun, even when your hands become sweaty with use. The beavertail on the back of the frame is nicely contoured and extends far enough back to provide protection for your hands when shooting.
The slide of the pistol is extremely smooth in operation. The top of the slide is machined with cocking serrations, helping you to rack the slide well with a firm grip. The three-dot sights are simple to use and have plenty of visibility in daylight, and they are also night-sight compatible. The safety on the gun is both manual and passive, giving you the security you need without having to worry about accidental discharges.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with the Grand Power CP380. The trigger is outstanding, and the ergonomics of the gun make it a great choice for shooters of all sizes. It is also surprisingly accurate for its size, and it is easier to find holsters for than some of the other full-size polymer pistols out there. For the price, this gun is a great value, and a must-have for anyone looking for a reliable and consistent sidearm.
