The CANIK TP9SA MOD.2, according to those who have been fortunate enough to have tried it, is far and away one of the top polymer-framed firearms on the market today. Although this is certainly a subjective opinion, it is not hard to see why. The style, craftsmanship, and customization options offered by the Turkish-based manufacturer have earned it a well-deserved reputation, and the gun has become a mainstay at both competitive shooting events and on the range.
I recently had the opportunity of trying out the CANIK TP9SA MOD.2 for myself. Armed with a bit of information and some highly positive opinions from fellow shooters, I set off to give the pistol a go and was pleased with what I found.
The design of the gun is eye-catching in a way that makes it stand out from the competition. The black polymer frame has a unique aesthetic, which is complemented by a picatinny rail on the lower portion of the frame to accommodate accessories like a laser, light, or an extended magazine release. The slide is a sleek black, featuring a stylized Tungsten Gray finish on the exterior of the slide and on the front serrations and PVD coating on the internal components, giving the pistol a distinctive look that has a high-performance feel.
The CANIK TP9SA MOD.2 is not only a pleasure to look at, but also feels great to shoot. The ergonomics have been designed to fit virtually all hands and the pistol is extremely easy to control, even during rapid-fire. The frame is comfortable to grip which in turn makes for faster target acquisition and precise shots. The trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the pistol has a very low bore axis which helps to reduce felt recoil.
When it comes to customization, the CANIK TP9SA MOD.2 is top-notch. It comes with an accessory rail for mounting lasers, lights and other accessories as well as an extended mag release for quicker reloads. In addition, the gun comes with a tool-less takedown pin making it easy to disassemble and clean. The pistol also has multiple back strap options so users can find the perfrect fit and a trigger stop screw to allow users to adjust the length of the trigger pull.
The one downside to the CANIK TP9SA MOD.2 is the price. This model of the gun is priced slightly higher than its competitors, making it a bit more expensive than other pistol models available on the market. However, the superior design, craftsmanship, customization, and performance of the gun more than make up for this.
Overall, after my experiences trying out the CANIK TP9SA MOD.2, I am very pleased with what I found. It has outstanding performance and customization options, a great look and feel, and is overall an excellent firearm. It may come with a slightly higher price tag than its competitors, but when you look at the performance and styling you get in return, it is more than worth the cost. The CANIK TP9SA MOD.2 is, without a doubt, one of the best handguns on the market, and one that I highly recommend for anyone in the market for a quality polymer-framed firearm.
