When I first saw the Taurus Raging Hunter I knew I had to check it out. Its appealing silhouette and lightweight construction had me hooked. I was intrigued by the idea of a large capacity, home protection revolver with heavy hitting power and a reliable tracking system. Well, after putting several hundred rounds down range, I am here to tell you, the Taurus Raging Hunter is a winner.
Let’s start with the basics. The Taurus Raging Hunter is a large capacity (6-round), .357 Magnum revolver with ported barrels. It features a stainless steel frame and cylinder, along with a matte black oxide finish, adjustable rear sights, and smooth trigger pull. It also has a 12” barrel with an external hammer. Overall, the Taurus Raging Hunter has an attractive, modern look and feel and I found it to be well balanced and comfortable in my hand.
My first impression when I opened the box was “Wow, this is a serious gun.” The Taurus Raging Hunter looks like a piece of art crafted by a master gunsmith. The lines are smooth and the finish is perfect. In short, I think the Taurus Raging Hunter is an excellent choice for shooters looking for a highly accurate, large capacity revolver.
