The Smith & Wesson 637 is an American-made, double-action, five-shot revolver. It is chambered for the.38 Special cartridge and has a 1.87-inch barrel. There is also a hammer block safety that prevents the hammer from being accidentally cocked, as well as a firing pin safety that prevents the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled all the way back.
The Smith & Wesson 637 also has an upgraded and improved barrel that is designed to reduce felt recoil and improve accuracy. It has a three and eight inch tradition crown finish and a vent rib to help reduce felt recoil. It is also fitted with a target-style front sight and adjustable rear sight.
As far as accuracy, the Smith & Wesson 637 is pretty accurate for a conceal carry handgun. According to my experience with it, the 637is accurate out to 25 yards, but the gun does get a bit finicky at the range at distances further than that. The adjustable sights help a great deal when shooting at further distances and will help with accuracy.
When it comes to reliability, the Smith & Wesson 637 is a reliable firearm. I have put several hundred rounds of different ammo through it without a single issue. I would also consider it to be very reasonably priced for the quality and reliability that it offers.
