I recently had the pleasure of getting my hands on a brand new Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model. This is an incredibly sleek and refined revolver that is built to deliver excellent accuracy, reliability and performance in the field.
The Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model is built on a .38 Special +P rated J frame with stainless steel construction throughout. The frame features a combat style cylinder release and integral sub-frame that provides enhanced frame rigidity to keep the cylinder aligned and avert potential “binder” issues during rapid fire shooting.
The 6-shot cylinder of the Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model is machined from heat treated stainless steel and has a lightweight design that reduces lock time and helps to increase the accuracy and operation of the revolver.
The front sight is a dovetail design that is easily adjustable by end user’s and features a red ramp insert that allows for a fast target acquisition. The rear sight is a fixed notch that has been engineered for accuracy and positive sight alignment.
The Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model also features a 3-inch stainless steel barrel that is fully shrouded and features a recessed target crown that improves accuracy and aids in muzzle control. The lock-work of the Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model is incredibly smooth and the trigger pull is consistent with no grittiness or stacking. Additionally, the trigger reset is short and positive and aids in keeping the shooter on target during rapid fire scenarios.
On the range, the Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model proved to be a very accurate and reliable revolver. The 3-inch barrel is more than adequate for all defensive purposes and provides very consistent accuracy at self-defense distances. Recoil is properly managed with low muzzle flip that allows for quick target re-acquisition.
The fit and finish of the Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model is second-to-none and the overall feel of the revolver is fantastic. It is light enough to be carried all day long yet it is hefty enough to provide a solid feel in the hand. Additionally, the revolver features all of the modern day amenities such as a synthetic rubber grip for enhanced recoil management and a front rail for the ease of mounting any modern day accessories.
In closing, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 Pro Series Model. This is an incredibly well designed and crafted revolver that delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability in the field.
The combination of the modern amenities packed into a robust stainless steel frame and cylinder makes this revolver a very capable defensive tool. Not to mention, the machined barrel and sights are fully adjustable and provide an exceptional feel and performance on the range.
