The Shadow Systems MR920 Combat Elite Pistol is an ultra-reliable and accurate handgun that provides shooters with exceptional performance and features. It is easily one of the best handguns currently on the market.
From the moment I opened up the box, I was immediately impressed by the high-quality design and construction of the MR920. The pistol was well constructed and had no visible flaws. The slide was machined from 416 stainless steel and had a nitride finish for durability. The frame was also machined from 416 stainless steel and was outfitted with interchangeable backstraps for increased grip comfort.
The gun also had a variety of features that made it stand out from the competition. First off, it came with a match-grade stainless steel barrel that had been cryogenically treated for enhanced accuracy. It also had a high-ride beavertail grip safety that provided an enhanced grip but was not too aggressive. It also had an extended magazine release button, making it easy to reload in stressful situations.
One thing that particularly impressed me was the trigger system. It had a flat-faced trigger with a short reset and a consistent wall break and reset. The trigger was also incredibly smooth with no scary grit or stacking. This trigger was light years ahead of typical mil-spec triggers.
I was also impressed with the accuracy of the gun. I tested the gun with a variety of ammunition and the pistol always maintained excellent groupings. Even when shooting standard velocity ammunition, the pistol was consistently shooting one-inch groups at 25 yards.
The only minor issue I had with the pistol was the factory sights. I found the factory sights to be difficult to align and not particularly robust. In addition, I also found the front sight a bit too wide for my tastes. That being said, these issues were easily remedied with a set of aftermarket sights.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with the MR920 Combat Elite Pistol. It has an excellent build quality, a smooth and consistent trigger, and exceptional accuracy. I would highly recommend this gun to any shooter looking for a reliable and accurate handgun.
