The Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX is a semi-automatic handgun designed by Magnum Research for target shooting, self-defense, and competition. It is a high-grade handgun built specifically for the popular .50 AE (Action Express) cartridge, and can also be fired with .44 Remington Magnum and .357 Magnum rounds.

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX is a modernized version of the original Desert Eagle which was first released in 1983. It features a machined steel frame and slide, full-length dust cover, and a standard, adjustable rear sight for fine-tuning accuracy. The trigger is adjustable out of the box and the trigger guard is curved to allow for easy reach. It also features newly designed thumb safety, making it one of the safest handguns on the market.

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX is designed to be a competition-ready gun for both speed and accuracy with its 8 inch barrel. It provides the shooter with a personal fit due to its adjustable components. Magnum Research equipped the Desert Eagle with a new competition-style trigger which utilizes a full-length trigger bar and a single-action sear resulting in smoother trigger pull and more consistent performance. The trigger also has a longer reset for faster follow-up shots.

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX provides shooters with a unique shooting experience with its .50 American Eagle round, one of the most powerful handgun rounds on the market. It comes in three barrel length options – 6 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches – with the 8-inch barrel being the most popular choice among competition shooters. The Desert Eagle already gives off a visual intimidation factor simply due to its sheer size and with the black/tan frame it definitely won’t be mistaken for any other pistol.

One of the first comments made when someone holds the gun is usually how heavy it is. Designed with the .50 American Eagle cartridge, the Desert Eagle Mark XIX is a beast weighing in at 4.25 pounds (unloaded) as compared to the average handgun which is approximately 1 to 2 pounds (unloaded). The Desert Eagle definitely isn’t a light-weight handgun and isn’t a great candidate for all-day carry. It is however ideal for target shooting and competition shooting.

The Desert Eagle is equipped with adjustable fiber optic rear sights that can be adjusted for windage and elevation, as well as a front post that provides great sight picture. It has good sights in general, however, they can be hard to see in certain lighting conditions. The trigger is adjustable and has a crisp, short pull which almost eliminates any unnecessary travel.

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX is made from machined steel and comes with a standard black/tan polymer frame. The frame provides an ergonomic and comfortable grip and allows the shooter to easily acquire a firm grip on the pistol. The Desert Eagle also comes with an extended slide release and magazine release, making reloading and locking the slide back a breeze. The gun is also equipped with a Picatinny rail for mounting aftermarket optics or accessories.

Overall, the Desert Eagle Mark XIX is an excellent choice for target shooting, recreational shooting, and competition shooting. It is well constructed, reliable, powerful, and accurate. The trigger is crisp and the adjustable sights help fine tune the accuracy of the gun. The Desert Eagle Mark XIX is likely one of the best options on the market for those looking for a reliable and accurate semi-automatic competition pistol.
