GEISSELE AUTOMATICS SUPER DUTY RIFLE REVIEW
When it comes to finding a reliable and accurate rifle, you can’t go wrong with the Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle. This rifle has been tested and proven time and time again to be an optimal choice for a self-defense, home defense, or even competition shooting. I recently had the chance to shoot this rifle and can attest to its superior reliability and accuracy. After shooting the Geissele Automatics Super Duty, I am confident in recommending it for any shooter who is looking for a top-tier rifle to use in any shooting scenario.
The Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington. There are various models of the Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle available, such as the SMR Mk14, MK18, and MK18 SBR, each of which has its own unique features. I had the chance to shoot the short-barrel version, the SMR Mk14 SBR. It features a 16.1” barrel, with a pinned and welded compensator to make the overall length of the barrel 15.77” due to NFA. The pinned compensator also helps to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise.
The Geissele Automatics Super Duty has an aluminum upper and lower receiver, with a matte black hardcoat anodized finish. The lower of the rifle features a full length Mil-Spec buffer tube and comes with a Geissele SSA-E trigger with a curved bow and 4.5lbs pull weight. The Geissele SSA-E trigger is an amazing trigger, and I would personally prefer a 4.5lbs pull weight for competiton or defensive applications. The trigger pull was extremely light, and the break was very crisp and clean. The Geissele SSA-E trigger definitely adds even more value to an already amazing rifle.
The Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle comes with an A2 phantom flash hider, which helps to reduce muzzle flash. The rifle has a 20” freefloat rail which gives the shooter plenty of room for mounting optics, accessories, and other components. Additionally, the Geissele Automatics Super Duty is rated for use with a suppressor, if the shooter chooses to use one.
The Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle is chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO or .223 Remington. I had the chance to shoot both rounds from the rifle, and the results were impressive. The Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle was very accurate and had minimal recoil when shooting both rounds. I used a low power optic, but was still able to consistently hit targets at 100 yards with various loads. I couldn’t have been more impressed with the accuracy and performance of the Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle.
The Geissele Automatics Super Duty Rifle is an excellent option for any shooter. It is accurate, reliable, and comes with an excellent trigger. I would highly recommend the Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle to anyone looking for a top-tier rifle to use for home defense, self-defense, or competition shooting. The rifle is an optimal choice for any shooter and a would be an excellent addition to any gun collection.
