The BENELLI R1 COMFORTECH is a rifle that sets itself apart from its competitors. It is the culmination of Benelli’s experience in the firearms industry and the benefit of their ongoing research. The rifle has been designed to provide optimum comfort and control, and is suitable for a variety of hunting and recreational shooting applications.

The Benelli R1 comes with a choice of three different stock types: Comfortech, Radial Delayed Blowback System and ARGO. The Comfortech stock is an Italian-engineered ergonomic design that allows the user to quickly and easily adjust length of pull and comb height to suit any shooter. The cheek piece is adjustable in both right and left directions and includes an additional add-on for larger shooters. The butt plate is felt lined for added comfort. Additionally, the butt pad is adjustable for a perfect fit for any shooter.

The stock is made from premium grade walnut and features a rubber recoil pad that significantly reduces felt recoil. This particular stock type also adds more weight to the rifle, which helps to soften felt recoil even further. The Commtech stock also features a built-in sling swivel for easy attachment of a sling or other accessories.

The Benelli R1 is chambered in .308, and is pre-set from the factory to accept a 5-round detachable box magazine. The magazine release is conveniently located on the bottom of the stock, and can be operated by the thumb when combined with the extended magazine. The gun is designed to accept a 10-round box magazine with an adapter, and a 20-round box magazine with an adapter sold separately. The Benelli R1 also accepts standard AR-15/M16 magazines when used with the optional ARGO adapter.

The Benelli R1 has an 18.5” barrel and is equipped with adjustable sights (garand style rear and bead front). The trigger is adjustable for both creep and weight, while the safety catch has a convenient 3-position selector. Additional features include a Picatinny rail for optical sights, a muzzle brake for improved accuracy, and integral sling swivels.

The Benelli R1 Comfortech is also available in both black and olive green finishes, giving it a very impressive, tactical look. The rifle comes ready to go right out of the box, and weighs 8.3 pounds; more than enough to handle a full-power .308 round.

The Benelli R1 lives up to its billing when it comes to comfort and control. The Comfortech stock does a wonderful job of absorbing most of the recoil, and the adjustable length and comb makes it easy to fit the gun to almost any shooter. The addition of the free-floating barrel and extended magazine makes it ideal for shooters wanting a more accurate rifle.

The Benelli R1 COMFORTECH is a distinguished rifle that offers a combination of features and performance that is hard to find elsewhere. Delivering high-end performance to a variety of shooters, the R1 is capable of fulfilling the needs of hunters, target shooters, and law enforcement professionals. An optimized balance of accuracy, comfort, and convenience, the BENELLI R1 COMFORTECH is a rifle that is designed to last for generations.
